Krai Woog Gumpen is a waterfall in the southern part of the Black Forest. It wasn’t discovered until 1952. If you want to see it, you need to drive on narrow roads deep into the forest but it’s worth it because these roads are beautiful as well. I recommend it especially for motorcyclists.
Although the waterfall is only about 3 meters in height, it is still very impressive because it flows into a deep, wide water basin with thunderous sounds. The origin of the water basin is suspected in the last ice age. The name is of Alemannic origin and means “roaring waterfall into basin”.

Great composition and use of long shutter speed. It looks like an interesting pattern is forming from the water flow on the bottom left in photo #1. I wonder what would happen if you were to extend the shutter speed even longer.

Thanks! This was my first attempt to take photos of a waterfall. We were on a 4-days-tour in the Black Forest with motorcycles and I couldn’t take my tripod with me on the motorbike. I had to use a tree as support to be able to use long shutter speed and I was happy about the result so I didn’t tried it with more longer shutter speed. But I’m sure that it would have been an interesting picture. :)
