Stray gulls

The appearance of Franklin’s gull in Switzerland is one of the most unusual ornithological events in recent times. It breeds in central provinces of Canada and adjacent states of the northern United States. Despite the fact that it is a migratory bird some of them stayed in our small town for the Winter. During the Summer they stayed at the creek, which flows in the middle of the town but nowadays they tend to fly away from the creek and for my greatest pleasure they come to rest on our balcony. I think, it’s a little warmer for them among the houses.
