For the second week of the February One Four Challenge I selected the boats, turned them into monochrome. Then inverted the colours of the picture and got a scene like a pink-purple dream.
What a great idea for the process. Didn’t know one could turn a photo monochrome and then add back color in this way. Those trees in the background almost look like an old negative. Very compelling.
I turned only the boats monochrome, the other parts of the picture stayed colourful, what I inverted. I just didn’t want the boats to affect my final picture. :) Thank you for stopping by and for your comment.
Hi Agnes, I must have missed your first week’s entry… Although the colours are a bit out there, I quite like the effect. It gives the image an interesting texture.
