You can find the charming village of Nonza half way up the western coast of Cap Corse, guarded by a Genoese watchtower which overlooks a curious beach of black sand 125 m below. The more energetic visitors tackle the 600 steps down to the beach to indulge in the tradition of writing messages on the sand with pebbles.
