Christmas time in Zürich 2014, Part 1: Bahnhofstrasse

As we are approaching the end of the year I wish you Happy Holidays and a wonderful New Year. Love, Agnes

Images and words

Bahnhofstrasse is Zürich’s main downtown street and one of the world’s most expensive and exclusive shopping avenues. In 2011, a study named the Bahnhofstrasse the most expensive street for retail property in Europe, and the third most expensive worldwide. The street is largely pedestrianised, but is also an important link in the Zürich tram network. Whoever visits Zürich, whether for business or as a tourist, should not miss the Bahnhofstrasse. Especially in December when the whole street is decorated with christmas lights. There are also christmas market stalls along the street so this area is simply enchanting at Christmas time.

I took some picture about the trams in the area as well because I really like to see their lights and blurred shape in the pictures taken with long shutter speed.
