Zürich’s most central Christmas market takes place in the main concourse of the Main Train Station, called as Hauptbahnhof or just HB. Featuring 150 stalls it is one of the largest indoor Christmas markets in Europe. The absolute highlight of the Christkindlimarkt is a 50-ft-tall Christmas tree, adorned with over 7’000 sparkling Swarovski crystal ornaments.

There are many other markets set up throughout the city. One of the newest and smallest Christmas markets in Zürich is on Werdmühleplatz which special feature is the famous Singing Christmas Tree. It’s a special stage in the shape of a Christmas tree, on which child, adolescent and adult choirs have been performing daily for 14 years.
Another small market in the old town:
There is a Christmas Tram in Zürich from the 1st to the 23rd December. It’s also called as Märlitram. It provides a good program for Children: they are driven round town and entertained by Father Christmas and his fairy helpers.

Remember the food court in Zurich main train station, especially “kebaps”. Used to eat one there and carry one to Basel. Wonderful memories.
With the Christmas coming, I’m sure it would be more beautiful.
Merry Christmas in advance.
